About Artisan’s Craftsmanship
Artisan’s Craftsmanship is a social enterprise initiative of TAMAS Society, a non-governmental organization registered in 2009 under the West Bengal Society Registration Act, 1961.
Through its Women Empowerment Programme, TAMAS Society works exclusively with rural women artisans by providing market-led skill development training, production supervision and market access opportunities.
Our goal is to empower 5,000 women across India by 2030 by helping them acquire practical income-generating skills, improve product quality and access national and international markets for their handcrafted products.
Artisan’s Craftsmanship serves as the bridge between skilled artisans and customers who value authenticity, craftsmanship and social impact.
Every handcrafted product represents the dedication, creativity and resilience of women who are building more secure futures for themselves, their families and their communities.
The name TAMAS symbolizes the journey from darkness towards light.
